Ana de Carvalho borned in Lisboa, Portugal. Actually is married to her 20-year-old companion, has a 12-year-old adopted boy, and is an actuary in an insurance company.
She is a catholic since birth but confirmed only when she was a young adult. As an adult Ana engaged in various volunteering projects, praying community and a reflexion group. Only in 2016 she founded a catholic LGBTI praying group and from then on, she is more involved with the LGBT catholic laity: she participated in the 2nd assembly of the GNRC in Munich, has participated in the European Forum since 2018 and is a member of the RCC working group of the European Forum for the LGBT Christian groups.
Ana is also a member of CaDiv (a founder member of GNRC from Portugal), a member of the online journal 7Margens that focus on the margins of religions and is the Europe Region representative as well as part of the Treasury Committee at the GNRC Board.
